Eastern Railway GM inspects Sealdah to ensure safety, efficiency

A train company boss went to visit a very busy train station to make sure everything was safe and working well.

The woman's name is Gitika Pandey, and she is the boss of the Eastern Railway in India.

The station she visited is called Sealdah, and it is one of the busiest stations in the whole country.

Every day, millions of people ride trains from that station.

She looked at waiting areas, safety equipment, and talked to people who work on the trains.

She also rode on a train to check that the tracks and signals were working properly.

She visited another station called Kalyani to see new building work that will make the station nicer.

Pandey started this job on August 1 and says safety is the most important thing.

She also talked to more than 780 workers from different train divisions by video call.

The train company says it wants to keep improving stations while keeping passengers safe and comfortable.
