UP Launches Cow Urine Collection Pilot; Samajwadi Party Cries Scam

Cows give us milk, but some cows are too old to give milk anymore.

These cows can still give something useful: their urine.

A big state in India called Uttar Pradesh has a new idea to collect this urine from farmers.

The government wants to use it to help plants grow instead of using chemicals from factories.

They started testing the idea in a place called Bulandshahr.

Farmers' groups collect the urine, and women helpers get a little money for every liter they collect, which gives them extra income at home.

Not everyone likes the plan, though - a party called the Samajwadi Party thinks the government is doing this to get money for elections.

The government's party says the plan helps farmers and women, and that the opposition complains about every good idea.

If the test works well, the program might spread to the whole state.
