Women in rural Uttar Pradesh are working together to run dairy businesses.

Five companies created through women’s self-help groups have earned about ₹5,716.26 crore since 2019.

More than 3.88 lakh women are part of these companies.

They collect about 12.5 lakh liters of milk every day.

The milk network reaches 6,603 villages across 31 districts.

The women do more than produce milk because they also help manage collection, marketing and business activities.

This gives families a regular source of income and helps local village economies.

The state plans to expand the network further.
