JNU Opens Diploma of Proficiency Admission Applications for 2026-27
Jawaharlal Nehru University, also called JNU, is a big university in India.
It is now welcoming students who want to join its Diploma of Proficiency courses.
These are short classes where you can learn a language like Bahasa Indonesia, Mongolian, Hebrew, Uzbek, or Pali.
You can apply online between August 6 and August 17, 2026.
To apply, you need to have finished Class 12 or an exam that is just like it.
You also need to have scored at least 45 out of 100 marks.
There is no upper age limit, so even older students can apply.
The university will put out a merit list on August 24, 2026.
Selected students will be checked in person on August 31, 2026.
Everyone who is admitted must finish their registration by September 10, 2026.
JNU has begun accepting online applications for its Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) programmes for the 2026-27 academic year.
Applications can be submitted from August 6 until August 17, 2026, at 11:50 pm on the official JNU admissions portal.
Applicants must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate marks; there is no upper age limit.
DOP courses are offered as one-year part-time programmes in Bahasa Indonesia, Mongolian, Hebrew, Uzbek and Pali.
The tentative merit list is scheduled for August 24, 2026, with physical verification of selected candidates on August 31, 2026.
The last date for admission and registration is September 10, 2026, with application fees starting at ₹200 for BPL candidates.
