IIT-Kanpur Student Hacks Site After Admission Rejection
A student who wanted to study cybersecurity at IIT-Kanpur was turned down because he had no previous experience.
He then broke into the college’s website and posted a message saying he just needed a fair chance.
The college director said the admission cycle was over but the student might be invited to take a technical test next year.
Faculty were told to explain that hacking is illegal and should not be repeated.
