West Bengal to hold Seva Sankalp campaign from September 17
West Bengal will run a public-service campaign from September 17 to October 10.
The campaign is called Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
It is being held around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.
The government wants people to learn more about welfare schemes and use them more easily.
People will join lamp-lighting events and other community programmes.
Students will take part in speeches, drawing, essay competitions and exhibitions.
Music and theatre will explain public-service and welfare initiatives.
Camps will register people who qualify for government benefits.
Activities will also focus on nutrition, health, education and planting trees.
The campaign will end with an innovation challenge and other events.
West Bengal will conduct the statewide Seva Sankalp Abhiyan from September 17 to October 10.
The campaign aims to improve access to government schemes, increase citizen participation and support Viksit Bharat 2047.
It will begin with Ashirbader Pradip lamp-lighting events involving beneficiaries and their families.
Student competitions, welfare performances, beneficiary accounts, registration camps and public-service activities are planned.
The campaign will feature an innovation challenge covering science, technology, education, industry, MSMEs and sports.
