Reconstituted Zilla Parishads to Begin Functioning September 25
Andhra Pradesh reorganised its districts from 13 to 28.
Because of this change, new local district councils called Zilla Praja Parishads are being formed.
They will start working on September 25.
The old Krishna council covered 49 mandals, which are now split among three districts.
Krishna keeps 25 mandals, NTR gets 16, and Eluru gets eight.
Staff members are also being divided among the three councils.
Krishna will receive 54 posts, NTR 34, and Eluru 16.
Buildings in Vijayawada are being prepared for the new NTR council office.
Newly reconstituted Zilla Praja Parishads will begin functioning on September 25 after Andhra Pradesh’s district reorganisation.
The former Krishna Zilla Parishad’s 49 mandals were divided among Krishna, NTR and Eluru districts.
Krishna received 25 mandals, NTR received 16, and Eluru received eight.
Of 104 staff posts, 54 were allocated to Krishna, 34 to NTR and 16 to Eluru.
Renovated buildings in Vijayawada will house the newly formed NTR Zilla Parishad office and related facilities.
