Mother in ICU after mismatched blood transfusion at Jodhpur hospital
A young mother named Dhapu Bhil had a baby boy on July 11.
After the birth, she needed blood because she was very weak.
The first blood she got was the right kind, O-positive.
But the next day, she was given the wrong blood, B-positive.
This made her very sick.
She started shaking, had blood in her urine, and her kidneys stopped working.
She was moved to another hospital where she is getting special treatment called dialysis.
Her family says no one told them about the mistake.
The hospital is checking what happened and says they will punish anyone who made a mistake.
A 24-year-old mother, Dhapu Bhil, received a mismatched blood transfusion after childbirth at Ummed Hospital in Jodhpur.
She was initially given O-positive blood, but later received B-positive blood, leading to severe complications.
Dhapu developed shivering, blood in urine, kidney failure, and cessation of urine output.
She was transferred to the ICU of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital on July 13 and is currently on continuous dialysis.
The hospital has ordered an inquiry into the incident, promising strict action against those found guilty.
