The Collector told him to deposit the money safely through a bank.

Karur Collector C. Muthukumaran advised him to remit the donation through the bank rather than hand over cash.
Pandiyan said he had assisted more than 400 schools across Tamil Nadu and donated Rs. 1.60 crore during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also said he had previously sent Rs. 30,000 to the relief fund and donated Rs. 2 lakh to the newly formed TVK government.
