Madhya Pradesh Sets 10% Deduction for AYUSH Seat Cancellations
Madhya Pradesh has announced rules for students joining AYUSH medical courses.
These courses include Ayurveda, homeopathy and Unani medicine.
Students will be admitted through NEET for the 2026-27 academic session.
If a student cancels a seat after the third counselling round, 10% of the tuition fee will be kept.
The caution money will be returned completely.
Since yearly fees can be as high as Rs 3.5 lakh, the deduction could reach Rs 35,000.
Dr Rakesh Pandey says the deduction should be no more than Rs 10,000 before the final counselling round.
He also wants full refunds because many students come from farming families with limited money.
