Mumbai's BKC Pod Taxi Project Faces Cost, Capacity Questions
Mumbai is planning a small vehicle system called a pod taxi in the BKC area.

Critics said an estimated fare of about Rs 21 per kilometre could be unaffordable for suburban-train commuters.

The Mumbai Architects Collective urged the Metropolitan Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to halt construction work.
The collective cited possible damage to public parks, trees, mangroves and local environmental conditions, and requested an independent Environmental Impact Assessment.
