Mumbai Civic Body Unanimously Seeks Coastal Committee Against Pollution

Corporators said waste and untreated sewage threaten Mumbai’s marine ecosystem and traditional Koli communities.
They called for better protection of Koliwadas, sustainable coastal tourism and improved beach infrastructure.
The motion will be forwarded to the BMC administration for consideration, but the committee has not yet been established.
