The proposed destination is Keshav Srushti, a 150–200-acre nature retreat in Uttan village near Bhayandar.
Pednekar said the excursion would cost about Rs 2.75 crore, or roughly Rs 802 per student.
She claimed Keshav Srushti is associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and could expose students to ideological influence.
Pednekar said Shiv Sena (UBT) would oppose the proposal before the civic standing committee and demanded an inquiry.
