Madhya Pradesh has reported about 300 cases of an illness called H1N1, also known as swine flu.

Five people have died from the infection.

Two deaths were reported in Indore.

Bhopal, Ujjain and Dewas each reported one death.

Bhopal has recorded 65 cases so far.

Most of Bhopal’s cases were found during the last 12 days.

One person who died in Bhopal was an 80-year-old man named Ram Singh.

He also had heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

Doctors said rainy and winter weather can help respiratory viruses spread.
