QIRT Raises Railway Crime Recovery Rate in Madhya Pradesh
MP GRP’s QIRT Boosts Rail Crime Recovery Rate Fourfold; Bhopal, Jabalpur Recover Nearly ₹4 Crore · freepressjournal.in

The railway police in Madhya Pradesh created a faster team called QIRT.

The team quickly goes to places where crimes on trains have been reported.

It can question suspicious people and board trains to investigate incidents.

Police can also file a first information report while a train is still moving.

This has helped the police recover more stolen property.

The recovery rate rose from about 5% to more than 20%.

Police are also checking with victims to make sure case details are correct.

They use Zero FIRs so passengers do not have to stop their journeys to report a crime.
