Ujjain's Nagchandreshwar Temple to Open 24 Hours for Nag Panchami
A big festival called Nag Panchami is coming to the city of Ujjain in India.
It is a day when people worship snakes, and it falls on Monday, August 17.
On this special day, the Shri Nagchandreshwar Temple will stay open for the whole day.
The temple doors will open at midnight on August 16 and close at midnight on August 17.
Many thousands of devotees are expected to visit and see Lord Shri Nagchandreshwar.
Late on August 16, a religious leader called a Mahant will perform the first prayer.
More prayers will happen in the afternoon and during the evening aarti.
City officials are making arrangements for water, lights, parking and medical help for visitors.
Everyone is working together so devotees can visit safely and comfortably.
Shri Nagchandreshwar Temple in Ujjain will remain open for devotees from midnight on Aug 16 until midnight on Aug 17.
Nag Panchami will be celebrated at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple on Monday, Aug 17.
Nag Panchami coincides with the third Monday of the holy month of Shravan, and the 'sawari' of Lord Shri Mahakal will be taken through the city.
The first 'puja' of Shri Nagchandreshwar will be performed by the Mahant of the Panchayati Mahanirvani Akhara from 11.30 pm to midnight on Aug 16.
Officials were directed to arrange smooth 'darshan', parking, traffic management, drinking water, cleanliness, medical facilities and mobile lockers for lakhs of expected devotees.
