Three Lakh Devotees Visit Bhilat Dev Temple on Nag Panchami
People in India celebrate a festival called Nag Panchami, a special day to worship snakes.
On this day, many people visit temples to pray.
In a town called Sendhwa, more than 300,000 people went to the Bhilat Dev temple.
It rained a little and there was fog, but people still came.
The temple is on a hill, and cars were not allowed on the road.
So people had to walk for more than two hours to get there.
They also waited in long lines for about two hours to see the god.
The priests bathed the statue with 101 litres of milk and offered 108 dishes of food.
Other temples in nearby towns also had many visitors.
Everyone prayed for good luck and prosperity for their families.
More than three lakh devotees visited the Bhilat Dev temple at Nangalwadi Shikhar Dham in Sendhwa on Nag Panchami despite light rain and fog.
Special rituals included bathing Baba Bhilat Dev with 101 litres of milk, chola shringar, maha aarti, and 108 dishes offered by the Kator Gadi Bhakt Mandal.
Vehicles were restricted on the nearly 3.5-km hilly route, forcing devotees to walk over two hours and wait around two hours in queues for darshan.
Over 15,000 devotees visited the Nag Devta temple in Jalud, where an 11-quintal churma mahaprasad was offered and District Panchayat President Anubai Tanwar inaugurated the fair.
Devotees also thronged the Nagnath Temple in Khetia and Shri Neelkantheshwar Mahadev Temple in Khachrod, offering prayers and performing Abhishek.
