Ashok Leyland is a big company in India that makes trucks and buses.

It just told everyone how much money it made in the first three months of its business year.

It made about 609 crore rupees in profit, which is a little more than it made during the same time last year.

It also sold the most trucks and buses it has ever sold in a first quarter, 48,763 vehicles.

Selling all those vehicles brought in more than 9,600 crore rupees, about 10 percent more than last year.

But compared to the last three months of the previous year, its profit went down quite a lot.

The company says this happened because it kept its costs low and people still want to buy its vehicles.

The company boss, Dheeraj Hinduja, says the future looks good because the government is helping modernize old fleets.

He also said the company's electric bus and truck business, Switch Mobility, is growing and doing well.
