If treatment costs more than ₹3 lakh, special approvals are needed.

Costs up to ₹10 lakh are considered by a Cabinet sub-committee.

Higher costs must go to the Employees Health Care Trust Board.

The scheme includes hospital care, some outpatient procedures and follow-up treatment.

More than 17 lakh employees may benefit from it.
