Malkajgiri Corporation Plans Safe, Clean Ganesh Idol Immersion

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation is preparing for the Ganesh festival.

Officials discussed how to keep devotees safe during idol installations, processions and immersion.

They also planned ways to manage traffic and keep roads and areas clean.

Roads, lights, electricity and medical services will be checked.

Emergency services will also be prepared.

Officials want workers to remove flowers and other puja materials after immersion.

Smaller idols may be immersed in special artificial ponds to help protect natural water bodies.

Festival representatives said they would cooperate to keep the celebrations peaceful and safe.
