Andhra links PMFME with Stree Nidhi for DWCRA women entrepreneurs
A state called Andhra Pradesh wants to help women who live in villages start their own food businesses.
These women are part of a group called DWCRA.
The government has joined two special programmes to make this possible.
Women can borrow money, up to three lakh rupees, from a group called Stree Nidhi.
They can also get extra financial help from another programme called PMFME.
With this support, they can make things like pickles, snacks, spices, and foods from fruits and vegetables.
The women will also get help with planning, packaging, branding, and selling their products.

Andhra Pradesh linked the PMFME scheme with Stree Nidhi Credit Cooperative Federation Limited to help DWCRA women set up food processing units.
Eligible DWCRA women can avail Stree Nidhi loans of up to Rs 3 lakh along with a credit-linked subsidy under the PMFME scheme.
Minister K Srinivas said the objective is to help women move from wage earners to entrepreneurs who can generate employment.
Women can establish units for processing fruits, vegetables, millets, pulses and spices, besides making pickles, flour-based products and snacks.
District federations will function as District Resource Organisations, with government support for project reports, raw materials, packaging, branding and marketing.
