Telangana Announces Rs 40,000 Crore Road Infrastructure Push

The Telangana government says it is spending Rs 40,000 crore on roads.

Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced the plans in Nalgonda district.

A Rs 35 crore project will widen and strengthen a road near Madugulapally.

The government also plans double-lane roads between local administrative centres.

Road works worth Rs 110 crore have completed the tendering process in two mandals.

A 220 KV electricity substation costing Rs 200 crore was sanctioned.

Officials said it should help prevent power problems linked to El Niño conditions.

The Outer Ring Road in Nalgonda town is expected to be completed within six months.
