Two More Arrested in Kolkata Jewellery Store Embezzlement Case
Police in Kolkata arrested two more people in a jewellery store case.
The arrests happened in Rishra, in West Bengal’s Hooghly district.
Police say gold and silver disappeared from a store on Shakespeare Sarani.
They estimate that about 60 kilograms of gold and 10 kilograms of silver were taken.
The missing items were allegedly worth around Rs 66 crore.
Investigators say forged invoices may have been used.
Another store employee, Ananta Kumar Gupta, was previously arrested in Bengaluru.
Police are questioning the accused to find out whether more people were involved.
