People say the two men took a lot of money from people who live in Malda.

The men promised these people big profits from investing in the stock market.

The people gave them money because they wanted to earn more.

But the promised profits never came back to the people.

So one person complained to the police about what happened.

The case was sent to a special police team called the Economic Offences Wing.

The two men were caught in a town called Sodepur and brought to Malda.

A judge sent them to police custody for seven days.

The police are still checking how much money was taken and how many people were tricked.
