Haryana CM Saini accuses AAP of false poll promises in Punjab

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini accused AAP of calling itself 'kattar imandar' (staunchly honest) while making false promises to Punjab voters.
Saini alleged Punjab's elderly pension was reduced from Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,000 after the 'Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana' was introduced.
He questioned why AAP's promised Rs 1,000 monthly assistance to women was not provided from day one, saying it is now being announced only weeks before Punjab Assembly elections.
Saini contrasted this with Haryana, which decided in its first Budget to provide Rs 2,100 monthly assistance to eligible women.
Responding to Bhagwant Mann's paper-leak gang allegation, Saini said the Punjab government should get its own police to take action and called for evidence-based statements.
He noted that AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal's native place, Bhiwani, is also the district at the centre of Mann's allegations.
