Woman Rescued Alive After 10 Days Beneath Nepal Flood Debris
A 60-year-old woman named Chandika Shrestha was trapped inside her house in Nepal.
The house had been covered by mud and other debris after a major flood.
She remained there for 10 days.
Rescuers found her unconscious on an upper floor.
A team of nine police rescuers brought her out alive.
She was flown by helicopter to a nearby army facility for treatment.

Shrestha was found unconscious on the upper floor in Betrawati, Nuwakot district.
A nine-member Armed Police Force team carried out the rescue on the 11th day of the Bhotekoshi flood.
She was flown by helicopter to the Nepali Army’s Maithili Barracks in Trishuli for initial treatment.
The flood followed an ice-rock avalanche near the Nepal-Tibet border and reportedly killed more than 1,300 people, with about 5,000 missing.
