NSW Premier Minns to visit India to boost trade, investment

New South Wales Premier Chris Minns will lead an official delegation to India from August 31 to September 3, visiting New Delhi and Mumbai.
The trip is Minns' first overseas visit as Premier and will focus on boosting trade, attracting investment and creating new business opportunities.
In 2024-25, NSW and India traded goods worth AUD 6.87 billion (USD 4.86 billion), making India one of the state's most important trading partners.
The delegation will explore opportunities in sectors including education, research and innovation, agri-food, clean energy, critical minerals, technology, tourism and advanced industries.
About 174,000 Indian visitors travelled to NSW between April 2024 and March 2026, and more than 28,000 Indian students study in the state.
