Police Arrest Five in Ganja Case, Couple in Ongole Theft

In Ongole, a couple was arrested for allegedly stealing jewellery from a woman’s house.
Police said the couple distracted the woman with an offer of temple prasadam and tea.
The recovered jewellery was valued at ₹26.5 lakh.
Investigations into both cases are continuing.
Kadapa police arrested five people allegedly selling ganja on the Badvel bypass road and seized 2.1 kilograms of the drug.
Police also seized ₹6,000 and an electronic weighing machine allegedly used in the ganja transactions.
The five accused are from Kadapa, Nellore and Prakasam districts, and police are investigating the supply network.
Prakasam district police arrested a couple accused of stealing gold and silver ornaments worth ₹26.5 lakh from a woman’s home in Ongole.
Police recovered about 175 grams of gold and 850 grams of silver after tracing the couple using technical evidence and CCTV footage.
