Bhoramdeo Temple to Get Kashi-Style Makeover
The Chhattisgarh government is planning to develop the ancient Bhoramdeo temple complex, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, similar to the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi.
This project, costing Rs 146 crore, will include modern facilities like sheds for pilgrims, drinking water, sanitation, and beautification of the historic pond.
The temple, known as the 'Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh', has architectural features similar to the Khajuraho and Konark temples.
The development aims to boost tourism, create jobs, and enhance the cultural identity of Chhattisgarh.
The project will be launched next week by the Chief Minister and the Union Minister for Culture and Tourism.
