Maharashtra Woman Arrested for Drugging, Beating Husband in Baramati
In a place called Baramati in Maharashtra, India, police arrested a woman.
The police say she tried to hurt her husband in a very bad way.
First, she put sleeping medicine in his juice, and he slept for two whole days.
When he started to wake up, she hit him with a bat.
Then she tried to bury him in a brick box that workers had built in their house.
The workers saw that he was still alive and called the police.
The police came quickly and saved him.
Her husband is safe now and told his story to the police and news.

A 38-year-old woman, Sharmila Praveen Jagtap, was arrested in Maharashtra's Baramati for allegedly plotting to kill her husband.
She allegedly mixed sleeping pills into her husband Praveen Jagtap's juice on July 30, leaving him unconscious for two days.
On August 1, she beat the semi-conscious victim with a bat and tried to bury him inside a brick-and-cement structure in their house.
Suspicious labourers alerted the police, who rescued Praveen before he could be sealed inside the structure.
Praveen alleged a possible black magic angle and demanded action against the medical store that sold sleeping pills without a prescription.
