UP Woman Allegedly Kills Husband With Stone; Daughter, Boyfriend Helped
In the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, police say a woman named Naina did something very bad to her husband.
They say she put special sleepy medicine in his milk.
When he fell asleep, she hit his head hard with a big stone.
Her daughter Bhakti and the daughter's boyfriend helped her.
Then the three of them took the man's body to a forest next to the Yamuna River.
They burned the body and buried it in the ground.
The police have been digging in the forest for three days, but they cannot find the body.
Naina told her own father what had happened, and he told the police.
The police are now asking all three people questions to find out the truth.
Until the body is found, the police say they cannot be completely sure the man was murdered.
Naina (40) allegedly killed her husband Manoj Soni (42) by feeding him milk laced with sedatives and crushing his head with a stone.
Her daughter Bhakti and Bhakti's alleged boyfriend Vimal Chaudhary (22) are accused of helping with the killing.
The body was reportedly burned and buried in a forest near Akrur village on the banks of the Yamuna, but police have yet to trace it.
Manoj left home after a dispute with his wife over his disapproval of his daughter's relationship with Vimal; he went missing on April 18.
Naina reportedly confessed to her father in Hathras, and the three accused were detained on Friday after a complaint via the chief minister's portal.
