Woman Techie and Paramour Arrested in Alleged Husband-Killing Plot
Police in Suryapet arrested a woman and a man who they say planned to hurt her husband.
The husband, Anthati Thriveda, was found badly injured at home on August 20.
Police say he was hit on the head with an iron rod.
He is currently in a coma.
Investigators reportedly examined camera recordings and phone records.
They suspect the woman, Niveditha, helped plan the attack.
Police allege she and Mahesh had a relationship and that she had given him ₹7 lakh.
A court sent both arrested people to judicial custody while the case proceeds.
Suryapet Town police arrested software employee Niveditha and autorickshaw driver K. Mahesh over an alleged plot to kill her husband.
Anthati Thriveda, 45, was found with severe head injuries at his Suryapet home on August 20 and remains in a coma.
Police allege Mahesh entered the house and attacked Thriveda with an iron rod while Niveditha was in Hyderabad.
Investigators reportedly became suspicious after examining CCTV footage and Niveditha’s call data.
Police allege the pair planned the attack after Thriveda questioned Niveditha about an extramarital relationship and ₹7 lakh she had allegedly given Mahesh.
