Man Arrested Over Wedding Jewellery Theft in Delhi Home
Police in Delhi arrested a 21-year-old man accused of stealing jewellery from his family’s home.
The jewellery was meant for his elder brother’s wedding.
The wedding was planned for September 13.
The family also reported that Rs 15,000 was missing.
The theft was noticed on August 28.
Police said the suspect admitted taking the items and selling them.
Some jewellery was recovered from the mother of his friend.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing jewellery and Rs 15,000 from his family home in northeast Delhi.
The jewellery had been purchased for his elder brother Mohammad Salman’s wedding, scheduled for September 13.
Police said the theft was noticed on August 28, and an FIR was registered at Khajuri Khas police station on August 29.
The accused, Khubeb alias Kaif, allegedly admitted to selling the stolen jewellery after police questioned him.
A gold ring and gold earrings were recovered from Shaista, the mother of the accused’s friend; further investigation continues.
