Vietnam and Myanmar Agree to Deepen Defence Cooperation

Vietnam and Myanmar are countries that want to work more closely together.

Their leaders met in Hanoi during Min Aung Hlaing’s first official visit to Vietnam as Myanmar’s president.

They agreed to strengthen defence and security cooperation.

This includes military training, sharing information and helping each other during disasters.

They also agreed to cooperate against crimes.

The countries said neither should let its land be used to harm the other.

They want to increase business ties in areas such as technology, energy and transport.

Myanmar’s leader also visited a Vietnamese electric-car factory and a telecommunications company.
