Revanth Reddy Orders Faster Welfare Measures for Telangana Activists
Telangana’s Chief Minister wants officials to quickly identify people who helped achieve statehood for Telangana.
A committee studied who should be recognized as movement activists.
It spoke with more than 13,000 activists and other groups.
The activists asked for several kinds of help.
These requests include housing plots, pensions, health cards and free bus travel.
They also want government employees who joined the movement to be formally recognized.
The Chief Minister said the government should support activists and their families.
He asked officials to provide technology and administrative help so the process can begin quickly.

The demands also include formal recognition for government employees who participated in the Telangana movement.
Officials were told to create a web portal, accept digital applications and coordinate identification at district level.
