Telangana High Court Orders on Land Regularisation, Estate Suit, Dogs
The Telangana High Court is a big courthouse in India that makes sure laws are followed.
A chief justice and a judge sat together to hear many different cases in one day.
In one case, the court told the state government to explain why land in Banjara Hills was sold very cheaply to the son and daughter of a former MP.
The government did not answer on time, so the court gave it one last chance and set a new date.
In another case, the Supreme Court paused a very old lawsuit about the estate of Nawab Salar Jung III that began in 1958.
The High Court is also checking whether farmland meant for poor people in Gajwel was wrongly turned into a housing layout.
In a sad case, a woman named Kameshwari Pidaparthi who kept 37 dogs in her apartment was told to find them a new home in two months.
The dogs had been taken away after neighbours complained about noise.
If she cannot find a home, the younger dogs will be offered for adoption.
The court also heard that five of the dogs died while at an animal shelter.
The Telangana High Court gave the state government a final three-week opportunity to file its stand on the regularisation of valuable government land in Banjara Hills in favour of former MP K. Keshava Rao's children.
The plots were regularised at ₹2,500 per square yard and ₹350 per square yard, while the petitioner said the applicable value under the policy was about ₹60,300 per square yard.
The Supreme Court stayed further proceedings in the 1958 suit over the estate of Nawab Salar Jung III pending before the Telangana High Court.
The High Court issued notices over allegations of illegal conversion of Bhoodan land in Gajwel, Siddipet district, into a residential layout.

Petitioner Gadeela Raghuveer Reddy contended the regularisation at nominal rates violated the land regularisation policy and Article 14, as similarly placed applicants paid substantially higher amounts; the applicable value was claimed to be about ₹60,300 per square yard against a market value of several crores.
