TGSRTC Deploys 5,000 Special Buses For Rakhi Pournami Rush

TGSRTC is adding many buses for people traveling during Rakhi Pournami.

It will run 5,000 special buses from August 27 to August 31.

This is 240 more buses than it operated last year.

Officials expect many people to travel because of several holidays.

The busiest return trips may happen from Sunday afternoon through Monday.

Last year, millions of people used TGSRTC buses during this festival period.

Women can still travel for free under the Mahalakshmi scheme.
