Mayor Promises Rs 10 Lakh Aid After Worker’s Killing
A sanitation worker named Anil was stabbed and killed while collecting garbage in Delhi.
Police said the alleged attacker, Nihal, wanted to hurt someone else because of a family disagreement.
Instead, police said, he encountered Anil and attacked him.
Nihal was later arrested.
Anil’s coworkers protested because they wanted more help for his family.

MCD sanitation worker Anil, 27, was stabbed while collecting garbage in Kalyanpuri, east Delhi, on Sunday morning.
Police said 52-year-old Nihal allegedly intended to attack Anil’s friend Gulshan over a domestic dispute but stabbed Anil instead.
Nihal was later arrested beneath a flyover near the Ghazipur border, police said.
