The CBI says the quarry owner’s family paid Rs 2 lakh to mining officials.

They allegedly wanted an official report that was favourable to the quarry management.

Mining deputy director Sivasankar was arrested and named the main accused.

Several other people, including members of the former minister’s family, were also named.

Some accused people are in remand, while Sudheer has not been found.

The CBI is checking whether more people were involved.
