MP Pushes Andhra Pradesh for Bigger Share in Samudra Manthan
The Samudra Manthan program is a big plan to find oil and gas in the ocean.
A member of the Indian Parliament, Sana Satish Babu, said that the state of Andhra Pradesh should get a big part of the money and jobs from this plan because the ocean near the state has a lot of oil and gas.
He suggested building a special zone for making oil and gas equipment in the state, a training centre for young people, and a hub in Kakinada or Visakhapatnam to help with shipping and processing.
He thinks this will help the state grow and give many jobs to local people.
MP Sana Satish Babu urged the Centre to give Andhra Pradesh a larger share of Samudra Manthan benefits.
He highlighted the Krishna‑Godavari Basin off Andhra’s coast as a key offshore hydrocarbon region.
Proposed an Oil and Gas Manufacturing Zone and an offshore skill development centre in Andhra Pradesh.
Called for a fixed share of newly discovered deepwater wells and a common offshore infrastructure hub at Kakinada or Visakhapatnam.
Emphasised priority employment for coastal youth and confidence in economic and energy security gains.
