Noida Teen Kills Father, Dies by Suicide at Metro Station
A 16-year-old boy in Noida did something very serious and sad.
Police say the boy hurt his father, Raju Sharma, while the father was sleeping.
Raju was a tutor, and the two lived together in a rented home.
The boy's mother had left them after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Police think the boy was very sad because his father was harsh and his mother was not around.
After hurting his father, the boy went to the Sector 52 metro station.
He jumped in front of a moving train and was rushed to a hospital.
Sadly, doctors said the boy had died.
Later, police found the father's body in the rented room.
Police are still trying to understand exactly what happened.
A 16-year-old boy in Noida allegedly killed his father, Raju Sharma, a tutor, while he slept at their rented home in Garhi Chaukhandi village.
The teenager later died by suicide after jumping in front of a moving metro train at the Sector 52 station, police said.
Police said the boy was depressed over his father's alleged harsh behaviour and his mother's absence; his mother had left after the COVID-19 pandemic and was living separately.
The boy, a resident of Sector 73, was declared dead at a hospital after metro staff and security personnel rushed him there, and his body was handed over to his mother and maternal uncle.
Raju's brother Arun helped police locate the rented room after a foul smell was reported near Tikona Park, where Raju's body was recovered late Thursday night; further investigation is underway.
