A 16-year-old girl boarded a private sleeper bus after getting off at the wrong stop during heavy rain.

She said the driver and conductor took the bus in the wrong direction and assaulted her.

She was later left near Kashmere Gate and went to a police station.

Police used CCTV footage to find the bus and arrested the two men.

After the crime, Noida Police began checking buses and other suspicious vehicles at the Delhi border.

Women officers also joined the checks.

Officers issued challans when they found safety violations.

The report said no similar checks were visible on the Delhi side.

It also said the transport office was not present, even though the bus had unpaid challans.
