Vineet Manocha, a 60-year-old pharmaceutical dealer, was found with his throat slit in his Kanpur flat on September 5.
Police allege his son, Subrat, arranged the killing because he feared Vineet would give his property to another woman.
Subrat allegedly hired former family employee Vishal Gautam for Rs 6 lakh and told him to blame Subrat's wife, Shalu, if caught.
Police initially arrested Shalu, Vishal Gautam and Rajkishore before later arresting Subrat on September 23.
Investigators cited call records, CCTV, digital and scientific evidence, recoveries, and other circumstantial evidence in the case.
