Vineet Minocha was found dead in his home in Kanpur.

Police say he had been stabbed 26 times.

His daughter-in-law, Shalu, is accused of asking Vishal Gautam to kill him.

Police say she promised Vishal Rs 6 lakh and gave him a duplicate key.

Vishal allegedly entered the flat with Raj Kishore while Shalu and her family were away.

Investigators then found that Vishal had called Shalu and also called Shalu’s husband, Subrat.

Subrat and Vishal had spoken 309 times before the murder.

Police are checking whether Subrat knew about the plan, but the report does not say that his involvement has been proved.
