Budigina Nears Podium, Nataraj Misses Final at CWG

At the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Karthik Budigina, an Indian para-swimmer, came very close to winning a medal but finished fourth in the men's 100m Freestyle S13 final.

Another Indian para-swimmer, Imam Ali, finished seventh in the same event.

In the able-bodied swimming category, Srihari Nataraj, an Olympian, did not make it to the final of the men's 50m backstroke, placing seventh in his semifinal heat.

The S13 classification is for athletes with visual impairments.

Budigina started his sports journey in rowing but switched to para-swimming during the COVID-19 pandemic.
