Israel and Greece Sign €3 Billion Achilles Shield Deal
Israel and Greece signed a large agreement to build an air-defence system for Greece.
The programme is called Achilles Shield.
It is meant to help protect against missiles, aircraft and drones.
Israel will provide several systems made by Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries.
These include David’s Sling, SPYDER, BARAK MX and special radars.
A new computer system will connect the different defences so Greek forces can manage them together.
Greece will also buy Drone Dome systems for important sites.
The main deal is worth about €3 billion, while the separate drone deal is worth €26 million.
