Assam flood-related death toll rises to 95 as rivers overflow
Assam is a state in India where it has been raining very heavily.
The heavy rain made the rivers grow very big.
When rivers get too full, the water spills onto the land.
This is called a flood.
The floodwater covered many villages, houses, and farms.
Sadly, 95 people have died because of the floods.
Many people had to leave their homes.

The death toll in flood-related incidents in Assam rose to 95, with five more fatalities recorded on Wednesday.
River embankments were breached at five places in Biswanath district and two places in Darrang district following heavy rainfall.
More than 560 villages across 14 districts were affected, with 1.6 lakh persons impacted.
Over 12,300 people have been taken to relief camps, and 32,000 are relying on assistance from relief distribution centres.
The Dhansiri river was flowing above danger level, and the India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for Kokrajhar and Hailakandi.
