Telangana High Court Sets Aside IPS Trainee Potency Examination Order

This means the approved test cannot go ahead under that order.

Reddy remains suspended and in judicial custody, while his request to cancel the FIR is still pending.

Justice Jaggannagari Srinivas Rao allowed Reddy’s challenge to the August 17 order issued by a Ranga Reddy district court.
The High Court said the prosecution’s application did not comply with principles applied by the Madras and Karnataka High Courts in similar cases.
The ruling does not prevent prosecutors from submitting a new application in accordance with law; Reddy’s separate petition seeking to quash the FIR remains pending.
