Seven Telangana Police Officers Promoted To IPS On Probation
Seven police officers from Telangana have been selected to become Indian Police Service officers on probation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the promotions.
The officers are Ravinder Puligilla, B Sree Bala Devi, V Arvinda Babu, B Raja Mahendra Naik, B Sai Sri, I Pooja and P Karunakar.
They will first spend one year in a trial period called probation.
During this time, they will also receive special induction training.
The rules for this process come from the Indian Police Service Probation Rules of 1954.
Those rules were amended on May 10, 2011.
The announcement was issued by government official Uday Prakash Gupta.
