A 26-year-old textile worker suffered serious injuries after falling nearly 70 feet at a factory in Bhiwandi.
Police said Gautamkumar Narsinghrao Kumar slipped while descending an iron ladder after inspecting the factory’s rooftop facilities.
He fell through a broken cement sheet and an open lift shaft, landing on cardboard at the bottom.
The September 16 incident caused a spinal cord fracture, severe chest trauma, and fractured ribs.
Factory owner Kirankumar Babulal Shah was booked for negligence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita over alleged safety failures.
